L-aspartic acid is involved directly or synthetics in assisting in the physiological processes: energy conversion, synthesis of purines and urea enhances the synthesis of nitric oxide. L-ornithine, endogenous non-protein amino acid which is a precursor of arginine. Mediates in the metabolic cycle of urea synthesis from ammonia and nitrogen excretion. It is a citrulline acceptor.
