Description
Chicory root extract (Cichorium intybus) is derived from a perennial, herbaceous plant in the dandelion family that develops bright blue flowers. Chicory root is commonly used as a coffee substitute, as a flavoring for stout beers, and as a dietary supplement. Chicory is also known as blue daisy, blue dandelion, blue weed, blue sailors, coffee weed, horseweed, succory, and cornflower.
