Description
Chaga mushroom extract (Inonotus obliquus) comes from a parasitic fungus that grows predominately on birch trees. It is most commonly found in the circumboreal region. Chaga mushroom has an irregular dark appearance that resembles a lumpy piece of burnt charcoal. They are toxic if eaten raw due to their high level of oxalates, but extraction methods make it possible to make teas from Chaga mushrooms. It has been used as a tea for centuries in Russia and Europe for its many health benefits.
